The Sa’i is a tribute to the mother Hajar (RA), who ran in desperation between two hills searching for water for her baby. Allah honored her struggle by making it a permanent act of worship for all believers until the Last Day.
The Qur’an declares:
“Indeed, Safa and Marwah are among the symbols of Allah…”
(Surah Al-Baqarah 2:158)
🔸 Start at Safa, facing the Kaaba, raise your hands and say:
“Inna as-Safa wal-Marwah min sha’a’irillah…” (recite the full verse)
Then say:
“Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar. La ilaha illa Allah…”
(Add duas and praise Allah as the Prophet ﷺ did.)
🔸 Walk calmly between Safa and Marwah.
🔸 Men: Jog briskly between the green lights (Sunnah).
🔸 Repeat du’as, dhikr, and make personal supplications.
One circuit = Safa to Marwah.
Seven circuits = End at Marwah.
This act reminds us: desperation for Allah’s mercy is rewarded. Hajar (RA) ran with hope — Allah responded with Zamzam.
