What is the Multazam?

The Multazam is the area on the Ka’bah between the Black Stone (Hajar al-Aswad) and the door of the Ka’bah. It is a spiritually significant place where Muslims offer deep and heartfelt duas (supplications), believing that prayers made here are more likely to be accepted.

Meaning of the Word “Multazam”

The word Multazam comes from the Arabic root “iltazama,” which means “to cling” or “to adhere.” This name is derived from the practice of believers pressing their chest, face, forearms, and palms against this part of the Ka’bah while making dua.
